Mansion Visit 2009

The residents of the mansion very kindly gave us permission to visit on Sunday 23rd August 2009 for a picnic in the grounds. The visit gave us a chance to celebrate the school’s 60th anniversary. We were able to stroll the formal gardens and view the Arthur Foot memorial and picnic in the area leading down from the Headmaster’s trees to the tennis courts. The weather was very kind to us and sun tan lotion and light clothing were the order of the day. Perhaps due to holidays etc. the turnout of around 30 old boys, families and friends was disappointing, but those would did attend all appeared to thoroughly enjoy walking down memory lane.
