Brook Blackford

OT518 - West

We have learned from his great friend Mac McDougal (OT 581) that Brook Blackford - OT518 - West House, passed away on the 8 June 2021. We gather that Brook forged on with his life, though suffering with heart and lung problems for his final twenty years nevertheless, 76 is rather young.

He achieved much, as a fighter pilot in the Air Force and later as a Russian speaker, in the Attaché Branch, as a Wing Commander.  One of his postings in that vein, was Air Attaché in Prague.  In retirement he was an executive with the British Legion (South West).  He leaves behind Crag, a manager in Waitrose Head Office.  Kirsty, a GP in Bromsgrove and Guy, a Senior Inspector of police in Newquay, and a former Surfing Champion.  There are seven grandchildren.

The funeral is on Monday, 14 June at the Truro Crematorium at 9:00 am.  There will be a podcast available using the details below.
