On this page are the details of which editions of The Gazette, The School Magazine, The Ottershaw Weekly News and Acorn are available from our online libraries.
The Gazette
The Gazette Library holds all ever produced editions
Also we have editions 1-9 +11 of the early society newletters.
The Ottershaw Weekly News & Acorn
In the OWN and Acorn Library, copies of OWN are arranged in batches by school year with all the copies for a particular year contained within a single PDF file.
We have to thank the SCC Archive for allowing us to scan their entire collection of OWN and also to Old Boys Roger Chesher, Peter White, Colin Blowers and the late Keith Douglas for letting us have access to their personal collections. Also the OSOBS archive has contributed many editions.
In May 2022 OSOBS member Robin Whyte supplied all the remaining copies that we did not already hold so now our library holds a complete set of every OWN ever produced.
In 2024, former teacher Jonathan Huges supplied the final missing edition of Acorn thus complteing the set.
We are now only missing the short lived NOW (New Ottershaw Weekly)) from 1971 but due to the way they were produced it is highly unliley anycopies still exist in readable form

No. 770 is not actually missing - the number was never used and the series jumped from 769 to 771; and No. 768 is wrongly numbered as 767
It seems OWN may have finished at this point and a home grown publication - NOW (The New Ottershaw Weekly) briefly filled the gap before the move to Acorn.
NOW was produced in colour on the school's Banda, but the logistics proved impossible for it to be viable.
The chances of any of those publications surviving are next to nil, Acorn then took over for 1972.
