On 1/7/25 we recieved the following email

It is with great sadness that I have to share the news that my brother Chris passed away peacefully at home in Itchenor on Thursday 12th June with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Annie, children Mike, Suzie and Nick and grandchildren Amy, Tom, Emily, Jack, Zac and William. 

Chris had a wonderful career as an airline pilot flying many different types of aircraft. He earned his command on Viscounts with BEA in 1975. He retired as a Senior 747 Captain with BA in 2000.

Chris was a passionate sailor at first as a dinghy sailor, and later in larger boats both, racing and  cruising extensively. He crossed the Atlantic in 2005.

Chris was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, he would always put family first.  

A service in his memory will be held at the Itchenor Church on Thursday 3rd July at 2.30pm.
