Guy Bransby

Guy Bransby  died of Covid in a hospital in Albania on 5th November.
This information has been passed to Martin Gosling by Peter Batten – OT 289, who was contacted by Guy's daughter Maria.

Guy lived in Romania for many years and had written several books, one a novel written when he was 77 was entered by The Society of Authors into in a competition for first-time novel writers aged over 60 !  Guy served in Vietnam, Cambodia, Kashmir, Northern Ireland and the Falklands and was the only British soldier to have fought in all of these campaigns. He wrote a trilogy of these campaigns which portraysthe human side of war, the tragedy, the heroism and the comradeship. An article on his writings appeared quite recently in an edition 69 of the Gazette. As yet there is no information regarding any funeral arrangements,
