Benny Hill

CAN YOU HELP WITH THIS APPEAL  FOR HELP FROM OTTERSHAW HISTORIAN JOHN ATHERSUCH?

Many scenes for the Benny Hill show were shot on location in Ottershaw Park and some from inside the mansion.
These seemed to have taken places from about 1974  when the school was still open and into the 1980s after it closed.
Does anyone remember anything about them being filmed at the time?

"Further to our correspondence about Benny Hill at Ottershaw I stumbled over another really good episode on Thats TV Christmas - Freeview 7/8 channel.

It was billed as Season 5 Episode 3 which would make it 1974 which is rather earlier than the others.

Does anyone recall the TV people being here then?
Great shots of the outside of the Mansion and some good interior scenes, too.
The next night Season 6 Episode 3 had some other previously unseen (by me) shots.
I have failed to find either a copy for sale or a catchup channel that I have access too which is hosting these episodes.

I have emailed the TV co. but so far no response.
I guess my request has ended up on the cutting room floor so to speak!
Maybe you could put out a call the the membership to see if someone can capture these iconic moments!
