The Spring Lunch
The Luncheon event was created and organised by the late Dennis Williams but these day is known as "The Spring Lunch" and is held annually in his memory.
The latest Spring Lunch was held on 27 April 2022 following 2 years of inavtivity due to CV19.

The Spring Lunch 2022
The event was robustly supported by some 36 Old Boys, their partners and carers at the recently refurbished Hands & Spear Hotel in Weybridge which catered well for most of our needs. A hearty 3-course lunch of smoked mackerel pate, posh sausages and mash followed by sticky toffee pudding went down well and was felt to be excellent value for money especially with the £10 Members’ lunch subsidy provided by the Society.
Peter Jones was invited to say a few words about the life of Dennis Williams in whose memory the lunch was held.
The President, Malcolm Alison, gave a vote of thanks and proposed the toast.
The raffle was also well supported and raised a total of £185.

Event history
At first the event was only for Old Boys from the earliest days from the school and attendance was by invitation only. Regrettably as the years passed, attendance figures dropped in some part due to the passing of several of the older Old Boys, and after Dennis too passed away in 2013 OSOBS decided to continue to hold the event in his memory, but open it to any Old Boy who wished to attend. In the past few years people from all eras of the school have attended.
Untill 2019 the event was held at the RAF Club in London but nowadays other venues are being considered and used.
In 2022 the event was renamed to simply "The Spring Lunch" although it is still held in the memory of Dennis.
